Danita Duhart

Executive Director, Exceptional Student Education, FDLRS Project Manager, FDLRS South Associate Center

Danita Duhart is the Executive Director, ESE/FDLRS Manager at FDLRS-South. She supports KIPP:Miami, Mater Academy Charter, Miami-Dade County and Monroe County. Mrs. Duhart holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems and Management. She also possesses a Master’s degree in Math Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership as well as a Master’s degree in Philosophy with a focus in Education. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership, Policy and Change. Ms. Duhart has 29+ years of experience in Education and Leadership. Her areas of certification are Mathematics, Reading, ESOL, Special Education, and school principal. Her previous roles include General Education and Special Education mathematics teacher for middle grades 5-9, and she has served as a school leader in elementary, middle, and high school. The majority of her career has been in administration as a former principal and assistant principal. She is a wife, mother, grandmother and a former foster parent. Her experience with special needs and equipping others to have mental health wellness provides her with the unique ability to guide families in the hopes of providing lasting change in the community.

Her passion is paving a path for children to reach their full potential.
