Welcome to FDLRS-South
The Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System (FDLRS) is a discretionary project of the Florida Department of Education (FDOE), Bureau of Exceptional Education and Students Services (BEESS). BEESS directly supports the FDOE's Guiding Principles and Strategic Initiatives.
FDLRS Associate Centers provide an array of instructional and technical support services to school district Exceptional Student Education programs statewide. The four central functions of each FDLRS Associate Centers are Child Find, Parent & Family Services, Human Resource Development, and Technology. FDLRS includes Associate Centers that serve all Florida's school districts. These centers collaborate with districts, agency and support personnel, administrators, and communities, families, and other educational personnel providing support services for educators, parents, school administrators, and students with disabilities or exceptionalities. Funding also supports implementation of the BEESS Portal to Professional Development Alternatives (PDA). PDA online courses are designed to provide Florida teachers with widely available, easily accessible opportunities to increase their skills in the area of exceptional student education.
FDLRS-South is an Associate Center serving KIPP: Miami, Mater LEA, Miami-Dade County, and Monroe County, and is an integral part of each district's efforts to provide quality services to the educational community through implementation of state educational goals and priorities.
